Global Insights
Welcome to the Global Insights Academic Year
Program
With
"opening the world through youth exchange" as its motto, Global
Insights, a non-profit educational organization, strives to increase
international understanding and prepare young people to live in a globally
interdependent world by providing enriching cross-cultural learning
opportunities through student exchange programs. It is Global Insights'
philosophy that the daily interaction achieved through homestay experiences
allows students and host families alike to gain an appreciation of cultural
differences and similarities, thus developing a global perspective and
leading to greater understanding of the diverse world in which we live.
Global Insights is designated by the United States Department of State to
issue DS-2019 Forms for J-1 visas to approved students who desire to spend a
semester or academic year in the U.S. Our organization is also a member of
the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET) and has
full listing in the 2008-2009 Advisory List. Our national office is located
in Marietta, Georgia, and provides the link
between our overseas partner agencies and the Area Representatives in the
field. With frequent communication between our office, overseas agents, and
field staff, every effort is made to ensure a positive experience for all
involved in the program. As a small exchange organization, Global Insights
specializes in providing a personal touch to Area Representatives, host
families, and students alike.
Global Insights offers an inbound academic year/semester program for high
school students from Europe, South America, Asia and the former Soviet Union,
as well as an outbound program of various lengths for U.S. students. Students are
screened and selected based on character, maturity, adaptability, language
skills, and academic motivation.
